He was Calvin Klein’s first Chinese global spokesperson for their underwear and jean lines. Additionally, as an ambassador of high-end fashion house Valentino, Zhang attended multiple fashion shows and events in Asia and Europe, as well at the annual Met Gala. He has also served as a promotional ambassador for Huawei Nova from 2015 to 2018. In July 2016, Zhang was appointed by the Communist Youth League of China of Changsha as its publicity ambassador, the first celebrity to hold such title. Since then, he has served as publicity ambassador for five consecutive years. In October 2017, Zhang signed a contract with the vice president of Tencent Music Entertainment Group and became a member of “Music+ Plan” (Music+ 计划). In June 6, 2024, Zhang was appointed as the culture and tourism ambassador of the Hunan province.
But there was something about the simplicity of it. The focus needed to hit a small target. The repetition required to get good at it. “Soothing,” is how Zhang describes it. So a couple of times a month Zhang drives to the range and fires a box of bullets at paper targets hanging 25 feet away.

Alan Dershowitz, acting as Tyson’s counsel, filed an appeal urging error of law in the Court’s exclusion of evidence of the victim’s past sexual conduct (known as the Rape Shield Law; Dershowtiz alleged that Washington had “falsely accused one of her high school classmates of rape”), the exclusion of three potential defense witnesses, and the lack of jury instructions on honest and reasonable mistake of fact. The Indiana Court of Appeals ruled against Tyson in a 2–1 vote. The Indiana Supreme Court let the lower court opinion stand due to a 2–2 split in its review. The tie vote was due to the fact that the Chief Justice, Randall T. Shepard, recused himself from the case. The Chief Justice later revealed he did so because of a heated argument between his wife and Dershowitz at a Yale Law School reunion concerning the case. On March 26, 1992, Tyson was sentenced to six years in prison along with four years of probation. He was assigned to the Indiana Youth Center (now the Plainfield Correctional Facility) in April 1992, and he was released in March 1995 after serving less than three years of the sentence. He left with prison tattoos of tennis player Arthur Ashe and Chinese communist leader Mao Zedong; Tyson also dates his tattoo of Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara to this time.
The 20-year-old Zhang shared her summer schedule. which includes all four remaining women’s major events on the LPGA schedule. She has received exemptions from the AIG Women’s British Open and the U.S. Women’s Open in addition to the CPKC Women’s Open in Vancouver.
Suddenly the sideshow was a star. Only in Zhang’s camp, it wasn’t sudden. “Nobody wanted to trust the process,” says George. “Everybody thinks he just figured out how to fight. That’s not the case. Zhilei knew how to fight a long time ago. He’s like a giant that just needed to be provoked.”
